Roltec Sp. z o. o. (ROL) is a private company focused on the development and implementation of the thin-film technology of CIGS photovoltaic cells.

Its areas of expertise are magnetron sputtering, thermal evaporation, buffer layers optimisation, laser scribing, and solar cell measurements. ROL has developed its own manufacturing process for large-scale, fully laser-scribed CIGS solar cells that are currently implemented in the pilot line. ROL plans to commission a 50 MW CIGS factory by 2023. Their activity focuses on upscaling prototype cells to large-scale production. In the project, they will support the development of a scalable preparation process for CIGS solar cells. The main infrastructures available to carry out the project research activities include i) Thin film solar cell R&D laboratory ii) 2 MW CIGS pilot line.
